On this week when we would traditionally be celebrating the Rose of Tralee festival here in Ireland, I interview Helena Hughes a former Rose, and also a former student of mine. I was really surprised when Helena told me she was doing it. I say that as Helena is an outspoken, feisty young feminist – not your stereotypical Rose!
